Might change the performance the configuration of the compilator?

I am learning C++ basics, with a online compiler .

One of the configurations say Optimization level,

If i change the configuration of Optimization level to none, will my programs be slower, compared to the 'maximum' level of the configuration, and what mean -O0, -O1, -O2 and -O3 in that configuration ?
