What is the big advantage of using a functor in C++? [duplicate]

As mentioned in the title, but more specifically, I cannot find what is the unequaled purpose of 'functor' over other idiomatic features like constructor, lambda, or function pointer in C++.

Could anyone help me with some antithetic examples?
