Extract RGB each channel values from an image without using any inbuilt functions in c++ [closed]

I need to extract RGB values from the image and average RGB values of each pixel and replace it with original pixel value. The resultant that i get is similar to grayscale. For opening and displaying the result we can use the inbuilt functions.
