exact difference between wait_for and wait_until with the help of a working c++ code

I have been trying to wrap my head around wait_for and wait_until .One of the stackoverflow answer mentions that wait_for is used to wait for some time say 1 min and wait_until is used to wait for say wait till day Friday. But ,i am looking for few examples to have a better understanding of the two .
