How to read text from an html page? [duplicate]

I have an html page(index.html) containing various links(let's say 50 links). On clicking of each link we are redirected to another page(page2.html) containing some more links(let's say 25 links). Now on clicking each link, I am redirected to another page with some paragraph. I want to count the occurrence of a particular string(let's say "status") in each of 25 links. Is there any way to do it with any programming language? Please suggest some way.
