Is it possible to paste or delete text at the cursor position in C++?

I want to create a simple console password manager for Windows in C++. I would like the application to be able to output or edit passwords in a currently selected text field to fill in the passwords. For example, when you select a text field in crome I'm trying to make it so the text is automatically inserted into the selected text field. Is there a way to do this? I'm currently using Code:: Blocks as my IDE. I look forward to any answers.
