What is the command to compile a pin tool?

i'd like to know please how to compile my own pin tool. (pin from Inntel)

when i try the examples inside the Manual example folder, i should do make <tool name>.test and when i want to use the pin, i should do pin -t <path to tool>.so -- <path to app binary>

i'd then like to know the command to compile my own tool mytool as a shared object and then use it with the previous command to my app.
