I'm the original author and long-time maintainer of the C++ FAQ (AKA C++ FAQ Lite). I first wrote/published the thing in 1991 so you do the math - it's old enough to legally buy a beer, and you can figure out why it was originally published via Usenet News & Anonymous FTP rather than the Web.
I'm going to remain involved in the C++ FAQ for another 20+ years :-) but thanks to an awesome collaboration with Bjarne Stroustrup, Herb Sutter, and Andrei Alexandrescu, we together have published a new C++ Super-FAQ on isocpp.org. I contributed all 500+ FAQs from the online C++ FAQ at parashift.com, plus material from C++ FAQs Second Edition (by myself, Greg Lomow and Mike Girou) (thanks to Pearson / Addison-Wesley Publishers); Bjarne contributed his own great C++/C++11 FAQs; and Herb & Andrei are contributing material from their excellent book, C++ Coding Standards, also thanks to Pearson/AWP.
The C++ Super-FAQ is supported by dozens of brilliant editors, so it will stay up-to-date with the latest techinical info yet it will preserve the playful, pithy style that made the C++ FAQ such a fun read.
